College Gameday

This morning at 6:20am we met our friend, Desmond Howard at his show, College Gameday. The show was in Los Angeles for the USC OSU game. While it was rough waking up at 4:45am on a Saturday (rougher for some more than others - no names mentioned but his initials are Harry McAlevey) we all had a great time. Thank you Desmond!!

Sleepover

This weekend we had 3 of Sean's friends sleep over on Saturday night for his birthday. Come to think of it one of them also slept over on Friday night. We are popular!

The kid on the left on the floor and the one in the green shirt are "the twins" (Nate and Eli although we can't tell the difference between them). We LOVE the twins because they clear the table, put things away and make beds. Of course they also move electronic equipment and have been known to disable our home network but its almost worth it for the free cleaning services. Peter couldn't find one of his sweatshirts and it turned up in the boys closet. We realized Sean had it in his room and one of the twins must have folded it up and put it away.

Sean is in the middle and to his right is his friend Alex. We love Alex too (even though he doesn't clean anything for us).

• Who does the laundry? Melissa puts it in, Peter folds, Melissa puts it away because Peter can’t distinguish between anyone’s clothing

• Who mows the lawn? n/a although Peter likes to garden
• Who cooks dinner? Melissa (answer from Sean and Harry: Melissa THANK GOD)

• Who proposed? Peter proposed on Melissa’s birthday in 2004 on two bended knees in front of a large group of teenagers who upon hearing "yes" started cheering and clapping.
• Who has more siblings? Peter wins that one easily.
• Who wears the pants in the relationship? Peter wears the pants but Melissa tells him what pants to wear.

Best Game Ever

We just got the video game Rock Band for our xbox. It is so great. We spent about 4 hours playing last night and started again this morning but had to quit because there was an altercation between the drummer and the lead guitar player.

School Projects

We like a team effort in the McAlevey household...everybody pitches in except Daddy who is kicked out because these projects stress him out too much.

After celebrating a Melissa Day together (jean shopping, manicures and pedicures), Peter and I enjoyed our last meal (the restaurant was a compromise: margaritas for me, football for him) before the chaos of our week of xmas break with the kids begins...

Happy Birthday Harry

Harry turned 13 yesterday. We started the day with a birthday celebration at IHOP. There was a minor crisis when Harry ordered his favorite breakfast, funnel cakes, and the waiter informed us that they didn't have them. Tears followed. We sensed a meltdown on the way. Luckily, Melissa saved the day by BEGGING the waiter to see if they would make a special birthday funnel cake for Harry. Phew...

Today's News

1. Peter was rear ended for the second time while he was sitting at a red light.
2. Harry got a 97 on his constitution test
3. Sean was chosen to be the co-captain of his JV basketball team.
4. Melissa is quietly putting up with these 3 yahoos. Especially the biggest one.
5. The biggest one has a screening of his film NAKED MOVIE on Saturday night. He's very excited
6. Peter is watching some stupid "Dog Fights" Show (he still thinks he can be a fighter pilot) so Melissa will be retiring to our upstairs entertainment area to watch "The Hills."
